บทนำ
Love In The Moonlight (สลักรักในแสงจันทร์) is an LGBTQ+ romance Thai drama series which is set in the political 1960s era. The story begins when Prince Saenkaew of Nanta is sent to Bangkok for an arranged marriage with Pinanong, a Thai woman. This is actually not unwanted thing to her since she's always had a crush on Saenkaew. Sasin, her older cousin brother, however, is suspicious of the arrangement. And when Saenkaew speaks honestly about the duty forcing him into marriage, the relationship between the two gradually develops and love takes root even if it's forbidden and denied.

Unlike today's romance dramas, Love In The Moonlight portrayed romance uniquely without feeling corny and boring. A political era which wasn't in real life history and a real life queer love story is combined so well. We can see that every single character's feelings, emotions and lifestyles are shown in detail. For eg. the huge difference of lifestyles between Sasin and Saenkaew: Saenkeaw who's a prince raised in the royal society is new to Sasin who simply grew up in the lower middle class. The casting is also perfect that the main leads have very high chemistry. Their acting with the eyes is amazing. Proved that eyes speak louder than words. We can literally feel the tension through expressions coming straight from their gaze. The directing is also chef kiss. I'm also obsessed with the original soundtrack. It's giving me all the feels and absolutely perfect.
สรุป
I'm so picky about watching dramas especially Thai series. I kinda find today's drama series boring, not my type. Love In The Moonlight, however, really matches my taste so much. I believe Love In The Moonlight would be one of the best Thai series (beyond the BL industry) of the year. The actors and the team really did a great job. Yeah, basically, Love In The Moonlight is my favorite BL drama so far. I recommend this series to all types of people regardless of age and to people who have never even watched BL series; I'd to say you should try Love In The Moonlight; you will never ever regret it. I swear it's really worth your time.
